For this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg we are taking inspiration from a colouring book produced by animator John Power for STAC back in 2006. ‘Bruno’s Adventures by the Suir' focuses on the adventures of Bruno the Otter as he spends a day showing us around his home by the Suir in Clonmel. During the day, Bruno introduces us to many of his animal friends and to the sights of Clonmel that he encounters while playing by the river.
Our amazing team of tutors will be on hand to deliver a host of arts and craft activities for all ages related to the environment by the Suir and Bruno’s adventures. Bruno encourages us to observe the natural world around us and teaches us to become more aware of how the environment works, how it interacts with us/and we with it, and how it impacts our lives. It’s important to keep our eyes open, we never know what exciting and wonderous things we might see.
In line with the days focus on the complex ecosystems that exist by the river we are making a commitment to using as much recyclable/biodegradable materials as possible to reduce waste.
