In two, one-hour sessions we will take a deep dive into some of the works exhibited and let our inspiration fly with materials provided on the day. We will be working with homemade charcoal sticks, crafted from bramble and elder. These National Drawing Day sessions are facilitated by artist Annie Hogg.
These are drop in sessions suitable for adult attendance, no booking necessary.
Annie Hogg is a visual artist based in Co. Tipperary with a studio-based and collaborative practice using sculpture, installation and mark making. Her work researches power relations and resources. Aiming to see both human and other than human responses and outcomes to human-led situations. Material choices are made with the intention of furthering commentary and questioning of the world and her place in it. Annie graduated with a BA in Sculpture from Aki College of Art, The Netherlands in 2002. She has won several awards, residencies and art grants, most recently the K-FestArts Award, 2023. Upcoming exhibitions, 'Zeitgeist Ireland 24' Germany 2024.
